with 315 Amp hours capacity. A great, lightweight lithium
ion battery with 4,032 Total Watt Hours capacity and built-in
CS series 200 constant Amp BMS (250 Amps for short periods).
High cranking Amps means this is a dual purpose deep cycle
and engine cranking LiFePO4 battery (can start many RV generators

IMPORTANT
NOTES:
- Although
it is recommended to use two of these batteries in parallel
to run a 3,000 Watt inverter-charger, if using one of
these batteries connected to a 3,000 Watt inverter-charger
(such as Victron Multiplus, Xantrex Freedom PRO XC,
Kisae 3kW) it is required to use at least 2 feet of
2/0 DC power cabling between the inverter-charger and
the bus barsas well as at least 2 feet of 2/0 DC power
cabling between the battery system and the bus bars.
Please do not use the bigger 4/0 DC power cable. The
smaller power cable helps to dampen the big inverter-charger's
"in-rush currents" and will help eliminate
inverter startup errors that can happen in rare instances.
In addition, you will need to install a mechanical battery
disconnect switch rated at 350 constant Amps or higher
between the battery and the bus bar as well as between
the bus bar and the inverter-charger.
- When
using one or two of these batteries AND a 3,000 Watt
or 3,000 kVA inverter-charger it is required to have
two 400 Amp or higher rated manual battery/ inverter
disconnect switches. One installs between the battery(s)
and the positive bus bar and one installs between the
positive bus bar and the inverter. In addition, we require
either an MRBF terminal block fuse or Class T fuse connected
to/ from the positive battery terminal(s) to the positive
bus bar and either a Class T or MEGA Fuse must be installed
between the positive bus bar and the inverter. Pinnacle
Innovations/ getlithium.com can supply our valued Clients
with all of these installation components at minimal
additional cost.
- In
addition, please follow these operational instructions
when using one or two of these batteries with either
a 2,000 or 3,000 Watt inverter-charger:
- Shut-Down:
- First,
turn off major 120 VAC inverter loads.
- Next,
turn off the inverter-charger.
- Next,
turn off the inverter disconnect switch.
- Next,
turn off the battery disconnect switch.
- Finally,
turn the battery(s) off.
- Start-Up:
- Make
sure that major 120VAC inverter loads are switched
off.
- First,
turn the battery(s) on.
- Next,
turn the master battery disconnect switch on.
- Next,
turn the inverter disconnect switch on.
- Finally,
turn on the inverter.
- NO
MARINE USE: Unfortunately
we can no longer warranty approve the use of internal
BMS Lithionics batteries like this model as well as
the 130 Amp hour and 630 Amp hour internal BMS Lithionics
batteries for Marine Applications. For Marine Applications
we always need to use battery modules with the more
robust external NeverDie Battery Management System (BMS).

ADDITIONAL
NOTES:
1. Heater Function:
When the battery is turned Off (for Winter storage etc.)
this also turns off the battery's internal heater system
so that the battery does not deplete when stored in cold
temperatures. Refer
to the Lithionics Storage Procedures PDF for storage instructions.
2. Alternator Charging:
The long-term effects of constant charging from "unregulated/
controlled alternators" are indicating possible degradation
of lithium-ion batteries. As such, we only recommend directly
connecting a Lithionics battery system to a high quality
alternator that connects to either a Wakespeed or Balmar
branded external Voltage Regulator that can offer proper
3 stage charging AND the Lithionics BMS option "FCC"
can turn off the alternator when the lithium battery is
full. For alternators that are "shared" and need
to charge a lead-acid/ AGM start battery as well as the
Lithionics battery we recommend using a high quality DC
to DC Battery Charger like those made by Sterling Power
(ignition enabled option) that will connect to your start
battery and feed the Lithionics Battery. Please consult
Pinnacle Innovations and we will be happy to specify how
best to achieve alternator charging and we can also supply
any parts needed - such as DC to DC Battery Chargers, Wakespeed
or Balmar branded external Voltage Regulators and high efficiency
battery isolators by Perfect

3. Although this battery can power a 3,000 Watt inverter-charger
it is really pushing the limit of the 200 constant Amp rated
internal BMS (can handle 250 Amps for short periods) as
at 3,000 Watts output the inverter can draw almost 240 Amps.
As such, we either recommend using two of the GTX 315 Amp
hour batteries or that you program the inverter's output
downwards to say 2,500 Watts.
4. We also offer an illuminated remote on/off/reset
switch that lets you control the battery from a convenient
location. It comes with 15 feet of wire - we can make that
length longer for a small additional fee. It sells for $134.64
USD.
If
you have been looking at far lower quality competitor's
100 Amp hour Group 31 style lithium batteries, you will
find that this Lithionics battery will far outperform the
competitor's Chinese B and C grade product, has far greater
safety/ usability, is equal to more than 3 of those 100
Amp hour batteries, is not just deep cycle like the competitors
(you can also use this dual purpose Lithionics battery for
engine cranking) and is priced very well in comparison.

SYSTEM NOTES AND FREQUENCY OF CHARGING:
A.) The "Pushbutton NeverDie System" has a
continuous Amperage draw of 2 Milliamps.
B.) Some of our Lithionics Battery lithium-ion batteries
can be ordered with either "Pushbutton NeverDie
System" (A) which is the BMS built into the battery
or can be ordered with the "External BMS box Pushbutton
NeverDie System" (B). As such, our smaller batteries
will likely need some recharging every 2-4 months to
compensate for the small amperage draw (.002 Amp) of
the NeverDie System. Please be sure to ask about this
at time of ordering or check the Lithionics Storage
Procedure Guidelines.
If your application also has a small "Parasitic
Drain" (clock, alarm system etc.), this must also
be factored in and the battery charged in accordance
with the total amperage draw.

You
may ask "What is NEVERDIE?"
NeverDie is
an option that can be ordered with ALL of our batteries
at extra cost. This is a Low Voltage Cutoff (LVC) circuitry
built into the battery that will allow you to use the electricity
in your deep cycle lithium-ion battery with the engine off
and the battery will automatically enter "sleep mode"
once the battery is drawn down to typically 90% discharged.
This means you can use approximately 90% of the energy in
the battery before it enters "sleep mode". This
helps to prevent accidental overdischarging.
If
you order the NEVERDIE Pushbutton, a simple
button will be located on the top of your battery to manually
shut down the battery for storage or to "wake up"
the battery from sleep mode.
IMPORTANT
NEVERDIE NOTES: Please check with your vehicle/ vessel
manufacturer about the effects of disabling the battery. In
Marine Applications for boats that are moored, you should
determine how the NeverDie function may affect safety systems
- particularly Bilge Pump Operation. We now offer a "Dedicated
