We
can also install cable glands at a small additional
fee.

We
often use the Perfect Switch POWER-GATE Single
Rectifier Isolators on the solar charge controller
output to the battery bank. This helps to elimninate
"charging conflicts" that can occur
when the solar array is charging as well as
some other charging device like a battery charger,
generator and so on. These devices are 100%
solid state and 99.9% efficient and act as a
"perfect diode" that only allows current
to flow in one direction. As most solar charge
controllers require the ability to "sense
Voltage" bi-directionally along the positive
power cable, we will supply a 5k Ohm "Resistor
Bridge" that allows the Voltage Sensing
but only allows a fraction of an Amp of current
to flow across it. Add $20.00 USD for the resistor
bridge to the cost of the Perfect Switch device.

These are high quality solar charge controllers
that work well with lithium-ion batteries
as well as lead-acid or AGM batteries.
Ideal
for small renewable energy systems, the
KID is a 30 Amp MMPT charge controller
that allows solar arrays to be wired at
up to 150VDC. That's three 250 Watt panels
in series in 3 HES-150's in a 12 Volt
system. The KID features bulk, absorption
and float modes, as well as an equalize
mode for periodic battery maintenance.
The KID allows for true input paralleling.

Description
The
FLEXmax family of charge controllers is the
latest innovation in Maximum Power Point Tracking
(MPPT) charge controllers from OutBack Power
Systems. The innovative FLEXmax MPPT software
algorithm is both continuous and active, increasing

between 14.4 Volts and 14.6 Volts. The Batteries
also need to "Float Charge" at 13.4
Volts.
Not
all Solar Controllers have safety features or
adjustable voltage settings. Typically, only
3-Stage Solar Controllers with "Equalization"
can be adjusted to the Voltages listed above.
